Keizan kiln 桂山窯
Traditional techniques are not only preserved but also continually evolving.
Since the founding of the kiln by the first generation, Wada Keijirō, over ninety years ago, he has been producing tableware, crafts, and tea utensils using traditional techniques, all under the favorable terroir of Mino. The charm lies in how it authentically expresses the rustic texture of the clay and its natural richness. This unconventional technique takes shape through the fusion of traditional Japanese methods passed down through generations and new ideas. Handcrafted items are known for their excellent usability. Why not experience how a sense of attachment grows over the years with continued use?
Kinshou kiln 金昇窯
Pursuing a unique style while preserving tradition.
The first generation Kinya built the "Kinsho Kiln" in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture. Second-generation Shigemichi has been engaged in the family business for over 40 years. He has held numerous group exhibitions and created works that pursue a unique style while preserving tradition. His passion and dedication to the kiln are reflected in his work infused with years of accumulated thought and care. Mr. Tabata’s works, imbued with the vitality of clay and a unique creative spirit, will continue to attract many admirers.
